Thanks @Rami
Sorry I missed your earlier comment.
I work at a financial data & analytics company on our risk model offering.
The FRM helped me better understand the work I'm doing - especially the Market Risk and Risk Mgmt & Investment Mgmt pieces.
Now I have to keep learning and go deeper...
Hi @edmund0877
I followed the order of the GARP learning objectives, and it seemed to make sense (e.g. several of the Market Risk concepts like VaR then re-appear in other parts of the curriculum).
I know others who didn't follow that order and did fine, so you probably have some flexibility...
Hi @nikic @spartakus
Attached is a benchmarking analysis document which GARP commissioned for the FRM & ERP.
If I'm reading it correctly the FRM is comparable to a Master's in the UK (the table includes other countries too).
Screenshot of the overview table:
UK qualification levels...
Hi @Rami
I’m 41 and just got FRM certified last month, so we old dogs can still learn new tricks :)
My math was also rusty and I had to review it and put in quite a bit of time, but if you’re willing to do the work it’s feasible :)
If you look in the Resources section of the BT forum there’s...
Hi @David Harper CFA FRM
It's been pretty hot here in London, but climate change is just a hoax ;)
So aside from the umbrella which @emilioalzamora1 correctly suggested, also be prepared for hot weather since the infrastructure is geared towards cold, so you end up feeling it more here (no air...
Congrats everyone!

Hi @AJ
Doing 3 chapters a day with all of: "reading GARP core-> BT videos -> BT notes -> BT questions for each" sounds like a lot to me, but I know I'm slower than average at getting through the material.
Personally I started doing BT videos -> BT notes -> BT questions but wasn't diligent...
Hi everyone
A few more study & exam tips in addition to my post above:
1) If you don't get a concept 100% on the 1st pass, that's OK. Don't dwell on one thing for too long since you'll end up having to rush through later readings to stay on schedule. There's a lot of material to cover, and...
Thanks @Bernard57950 :)
I've just passed Part II and am waiting to hear back about my work experience.
Good luck for your exam!
Karim
P.S. Realized I goofed on the dates above since the terrible Pearson eBooks were when I originally signed up for the Nov 2017 part II exam before I deferred to...
Hi @emilioalzamora1 @Nicole Seaman @rujiewang
Now that I'm at my laptop I found the relevant section from my results letter after passing the Part II exam :)

Hi @rj2890
I think on average it takes 2 weeks to 1 month for the work experience to be verified. I don't think there's anything else to do other than wait for the reply from GARP after you've submitted the work experience.
Once certified you need to opt in to the Certified FRM Directory if...
Hi guys
By default you’re opted out of being searchable in the directory. There’s an option that needs to be selected in your profile to be searchable.
