Exam Feedback May 2021 Part 1 Exam Feedback

1,1,1,1 Read the books, did all book questions, watched David's videos and did some BT questions. Thanks If you failed, hopefully you won't be dissuaded from trying again. I failed CFA Level 1 the first time I tried it, then passed each of the CFA exams without any more failures. We are all...

If passed Level 1 in May, what's a good plan to pass Level 2 in Nov?

Hi, I took Part 1 in May and I think I probably passed. I'll find out in mid-July. I'd like to go ahead and pass Part 2 in November. But I can't register for the Part 2 exam yet. Does anyone have a view on starting Part 2 studies now? I can't buy the official books from GARP yet, but I could...

Exam Feedback May 2021 Part 1 Exam Feedback

I also could not find a correct answer to the mortgage default problem. I spent at least 10 minutes at the end of the exam trying to find an answer, and I could not find one. I'm experienced in maths and stats. Did anybody get a solution to this that was in the listed answers?

Exponent of a sum equals sum of the exponents?!

Hi again, I didn't get a reply to my other question yet but I still hope to be enlightened some day! I'm in the 2021 textbook for quant methods and literally scratching my head out about this one. In Chapter 11 Question1, it's asking what is the relationship between E[ Y(t+h) ] and exp E[ ln(...

Bluefox, if your exam is on Saturday then surely they would have have told you by now if it was cancelled? Less than 48 hours to go? Good luck.

FRM Part One Study Group Ireland 2020

Dubfrm, you say Level 3a does not permit it. In your previous post, you say Level 3a may allow it. I am confused.

Dublin venue changed from Crowne Plaza. Guess they are trying to make it go ahead by at least having a venue that is not under the control of the Army.

Multiple Regression - Bivariate confidence intervals - implications of positive and negative correlation

Hi everyone, I do apologise if this has been asked before but I'm failing to get my head around the attached page 132 from Book 2. The implications of positive and negative correltion on the confidence intervals of the parameters. I have experience with multiple regression but something just...

FRM Part One Study Group Ireland 2020

Interesting thoughts. I'm hoping this new Level 5 is treated differently to January's Level 5. And I'm wondering if exams outside Dublin could go ahead even if Dublin was cancelled...

FRM Part One Study Group Ireland 2020

Do we not think it will go ahead in Ireland considering that schools are back and the Leaving Cert is on?

FRM Part One Study Group Ireland 2020

Why was your slot cancelled? I am due to take Part 1 in May, in Ireland. Would be good to join a WhatsApp group to share notes! Judging by the situation re: Leaving Cert students, I have to wonder whether May exams will go ahead. But I'll plan to be ready, in case they do go ahead.

    FRM After CFA?

Hi, thanks a lot for the reply. I asked a good friend of mine who has both CFA and FRM and he said 250 hours, and with your answer of 200-230 hours I reckon that I have a reasonable estimate. Thanks again. Advice sounds good too.

    FRM After CFA?

Sorry for hijacking a thread here but I am also contemplating taking FRM this November. I have been researching FRM for a little while and would greatly appreciate the input of those who are experts in it. Can anyone please guess how many study hours it will take me to pass? I'm under a lot of...
