Hi David:

Do we have a formula sheet for level 2 2012? Also I hear the exam is not as challenging as the level 1. Wanted to get your thoughts...being that a level 1 passes can only take it should increase the competition a bit

cheers

Hi Rick, I moved this from Announcements, I hesitate to edit threads but it doesn't belong in Announcements.

No, we don't have a P2 formula sheet. Last year, after i extracted out the "calculates" from P2, it just wasn't very useful. Not nearly as many formula-based AIMs. I will take a fresh look this year, but i won't make any pre-May schedule. I don't have a strong view on the difficulty of P2 ... you can probably find the post-mortem thread here in About. My pure speculation is that "difficulty" should be roughly similar due to two roughly offsetting influences: 1. Agree with your statement, that the sample is more qualified that the candidate sample in P2, having passed P1; but 2. On the other hand, it still grades on a curve and I have no reason to think the curve has a more difficult calibration in P2. (But P2 is newer, with less history, and more volatility, i think it's hard to make decisive statements). Thanks,
