What along with FRM and Experience requirements.

Sunil Natarajan

Credit Analyst
Hi David,
I had a small doubt.I have about 22 months of experience as Financial Analyst along with 2 years of Accounting experience in a Professional Accounting firm. Of the 22 months.I have 9 months experience as an equity research analyst and 13 months experience as Credit Analyst in a bank. Will the 2 years experience as an accountant with a Professional Accounting firm be counted.
I also wanted to know what other course would be suited with FRM from CFA,CAIA and PRM. Or do you think any other course would be good combination with FRM considering my current experience.

Thank You & Regards,
Sunil Natrajan

Hi Sunil,

Kristina @ GARP looked at your post and she just told me your experience qualifies
(I too had a *tiny* doubt about the accounting, but accounting qualifies apparently)

Sunil, on the other question, you may find others' input useful here:

My view is that, for practical purposes, the FRM/PRM are competitors and therefore I see no point in adding a PRM to an FRM (or adding an FRM to a PRM). I realize members within each will debate this but i think their overlap exceeds their differences; and i think the FRM has more market penetration. (I realize some claim the PRM is more quantitative, but I disagree: if you compare 2008 FRM to current PRM, they make similar math demands).

I don't have unique insight into CAIA - I am impressed by the Level II study guide but I don't feel like i have a grasp on whether it has purchase with recruiters...

The CFA is, it seems to me, increasingly a natural complement to the FRM. I think the CFA is doing a good job of penetration beyond its roots in serving equity analysts and has earned respect in a broad number of FinServices roles.
