I had a red covered book. I wasn't sure if they had different questions, or were just in a different order.
I know the question I was looking at was put, I even ran it for a call just to see. Mine had 3 choices, 60.xx, 60.xx, 60.xx, and 167.xx. I kept coming up with 113.xx.
Hi @Detective,
I remember that joint question and did the same thing you did. I knew it wasn't that trap answer from just multiplying the two. But it was also a very well trained BT question.
I agree with @Peterfcm that there were a lot of qualitative questions. I felt very comfortable...
I thought Part 1 was easier than the BT prep.
The only two subjects that I did not know, and it was my own fault, were the AIC/Schwarz questions, and the prepayment calculations. I knew I was deficient there, but in the name of time did not go back and tighten things up. The two AIC/Scwarz...
Hi Detective,
Just re-read this. Look how silly what I put in bold sounds. Under normal circumstances their machine cannot recognize the answers. They must have dropped an "If."
I haven't taken an exam with those pencil filled bubbles since the 70's. I can't believe they are still in use...
I think it is because of something someone posted here a few cycles ago. He took the exam somewhere, maybe South America, and FedEx lost the package with the exams. So they probably hold the carbons in the exam city in case the originals don't make it.
Correction:
It was Lisbon and UPS...
Hi,
I am sorry if this is posted elsewhere, I did try several searches.
Both Part 1 and Part 2, Full Mock #1's both say they are Mini-Mocks A to D combined into one.
But the decscription for Full Mock #2, for both parts 1 and 2, make it sound like they are completely different than their...
Hi,
I was wondering what the consensus was around here about exotic options.
Any thoughts on testability and how many of them we need to master?
Thanks,
Sixcarbs
This is what GARP says. A lot of describe and explain.
Chapter 26. Exotic Options [FMP–14]
After completing this reading you...
Hello,
Just wondering, does the actual test have a lot of trap answers or not? Most of the PQ's here do not.
A trap answer is an answer based on a common mistake that one might come up with. For example, not converting SA to Continuous. If the answer calls for one of them, but has choices...
Hi,
I know this sounds like a silly question, but how does scratch paper work during the exam? Sometimes at home I can easily fill up an entire page for one problem. 100 questions, and let's say 50 involve computations, even if I am tight I might use 10 to 20 pages.
What do they give you to...
Yes, both parts. Thanks for your thoughts.
I know what you are saying about a 50% pass rate and preparing, and having some related experience in some of the topics.
I just wish I started one month earlier. If all I had was this I would be in better shape, it's the rest of my life...
