This is what irks me as well. I feel that at this point they should just take the hit and postpone it. Just because according to certain criteria they can technically hold the exam, doesn't mean they should, considering the worsening regulations and the safety concerns.
The whole hotel chain where the Amsterdam October exam is to be held has been closed down. I guess this will at least force some communication from GARP's side soon. If they send out a message telling us the location will be changed, it confirms that the exam can be held under current conditions...
@evelyn.peng I see. The poor communication from their side is annoying. With max 10 capacity I can imagine a couple of extra rooms can be booked. If I understood you correctly, that max capacity was already known in September (when you mailed them). I feel in that case they had plenty of time to...
That's interesting. So even though the regulations in the country are known, there's still no knowing what to expect until GARP finally decides to give some clarity. God knows when that will be.
What do you mean by "It does not look like GARP is willing to make adjustment to their plans[...]"...
Has anyone heard from GARP whether they will arrange more rooms if COVID regulations state a max capacity per room? Has anyone asked them this question already?
COVID infections are spreading like wildfire in Europe, with announcements of stricter regulations looming in the upcoming days. I foresee many incoming cancellations in the upcoming week from the bigger countries.
Are our concerns and discontent about how this is being handled known to GARP? Seeing the earlier reaction about saying they will have certainty about Montreal in 1 or 2 weeks is crazy, considering the exam is nearing.
I'm of the opinion that they should just postpone the whole exam to January...
I can imagine... I'm assuming for October there's going to be less people anyway compared to November. Having a high/low percentile score seems a little bit more skewed in that case.
From tonight onward, in The Netherlands the max capacity allowed for indoors 'public' spaces is 30. I have my exam on the 24th of October in Amsterdam. I'm worried that this policy directly affects the exam.
I think the only way to circumvent it is if they booked more halls in the convention...
Well, there goes my plan to finish level 1 and 2 in 2020... I'm not able to study to take both levels at once in November since that's just too much for me.
I also bought both levels of the bionic turtle subscription earlier this February because i was planning to do L1 in may and L2 in...
