58 for me, no updates thus far. Given it's over the 8 week threshold, I emailed @Nicole Manley w/my info to see if anything can be done through BT's contact at GARP. ::fingers crossed::
@tosuhn I'm on OS X 10.9, and use Acrobat Reader X for the files that don't render properly in Preview. Acrobat appears to render Hull notes and all other OK for me.
By the bye, Nicole & David, thank you very much for switching to the new font in the updated notes --- not only can the newer notes be viewed in Preview.app on OS X, but I also find the newer font to be much easier to read (esp. when the pages are printed 2-up). ...Didn't want a good deed to go...
@David Harper CFA FRM CIPM
Quick question / reassurance --- Everywhere I read, the mention is that
Value(call_{vanilla}) = Value(call_{up-n-in}) + Value(call_{up-n-out}).
where call_{vanilla} is a European call w/o rebate or any other weirdness.
As a sanity check, similar concept is...
Wasn't sure where to post this, so please feel free to move this ---
Purely by accident, I discovered that in order to navigate to a thread that discusses a particular question/answer set for a reading, one need only enter the "number" that follows the thread title, e.g...
David,
What is due to be published after "Reading 41: Credit Decision and Credit Analyst" study notes? I'm afraid the Publishing Calendar became inaccurate in early Feb. & its notation for P2 materials appears to map to the readings in only some of the cases.
About Credit Risk materials...
i feel quite the same way (esp the issues quoted below).
on the topic of ---
I very much doubt that matrix calculation is going to be on the test. The questions very well test the concepts related to ops that rely on matrix math, but I don't see it as a likely question. ...from the...
Likewise -- I find OP Risk readings in general to be so information-poor that it makes it nigh impossible to complete the readings. Instead, I focused on BT's study notes and practice questions. In my opinion (if others have a different view, please let me know why), reading source materials...
Hiya David,
Thank you very much for implementing the new thread w/posted materials --- it's been tremendously helpful in staying up to date and tracking my progress as I work through the notes & PQs.
Regarding the bug --- I've been paying attention and can describe the following behavior ---...
Yep, agreed, the Study Planner is a good place for it. However, currently, to detect that new lectures have been updated, one has to continuously expand the subcategories to check for the "Updated" labels. (thus far, the "New" icon has been inconsistent in indicating when a particular section...
@Nicole, is there a centralised forum/thread that I can track, such that I get notified whenever lectures get updated for Part II?
(i surfed around the forums but could not find an obvious place where that would be...)
For those waiting for the GARP FRM pt II materials to ship --- they won't ship until "around Feb 15th", perhaps even after mid-Feb. :(
Looks like the studying schedule is getting compressed even further.
The $100 printing fee doesn't make any sense to me --- it's not as if we can get a digital version of the course pack. I'm holding off on ordering the materials until the 28th, in hopes of them correcting / clarifying what this fee is for.
...frankly, if i were to start studying for the...
