By the way, last time this happened, I just quit trying after the sixth time, went away, and when I came back it was ok!
Wierd!

Hi Suzanne,
You'd probably want to know this:
Site (out side the forums) accepts my email-password combination, but not username-same password combination, although it says sign in with user name OR email alike.

Thank you

Hi Hend,

Actually your username and your email are both the same. The Hend Abeunein that you are referring too is actually your screen name for the forum.

I hope that clears up any confusion.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne: I forget myself sometimes the logic. There is a history to this. I really would prefer the simplicity of a single email login everywhere (i.e., the very last thing we want to do is add any inconvenience to login), and when the new forum was installed, we did have that ability. But we quickly discovered that we needed a forum username, so members were not forced to display their email. As Suzanne says, this is really just display name for the forum (e.g., "Hend Abuenein") which has no access purpose but rather is for display purposes (to mask an email).

Otherwise, for access/login purposes, new members (going forward) only have an email = username, which is actually meant to simplify the login.

Hi - I've been going through the study guides that were given. I'm a little bit new to this, just recently paid for my subscription, but I had a few questions.

Is the below what we should be using to study with as we go through Part I of the FRM exam?

L1.Key Formulas
2012.P1 AIM Statements
2012.P1 Study Guide
2012.T1. Foundations
2012.T2. Quant
2012.T3. Products
2012.T4. Valuations

So in total there is a Key Formulas, AIM Statements (GARP), Study Guide(GARP), and then 4 separate Topics, correct? This is a little bit different from my previous Kaplans, and I just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing out anything.

Edit: So I think I'm figuring this out. Anything with Essential is really 2012 and the previous years are Optional, correct?

Thanks for the clarification!

Hi Suzanne and David,
Since last week, and after I logged in successfully, site won't keep me logged in. I opt for it every time, but it doesn't work. I also noticed that even though I asked my browser to save password, it doesn't appear in the password box when I enter my email. As if site wouldn't allow browser to save password.

Thanks

Hi again,

I was looking for Hull chapter 24 questions on the site, only to realize that Hull's 8th edition changed numbering of chapters.
Seems that in 2010 curriculum Hull chapter 24 covered options and strategies, because that's what I found under it.

What do I look for in the search if I want questions on CDS valuation which is Hull 8th edition chapter 24?

Thanks

Hi Shekkery,

You don't really need to view the AIM Statements or the Study Guide as we posted that early on for customers to know what the AIMS and Study Guides were. What you should study is:

2012.T1. Foundations
2012.T2. Quant
2012.T3. Products
2012.T4. Valuations

The 2012 Key Formulas have not been published or updated yet. The Key Formulas up would be from 2011.

David is working on the videos which will be published as close to this calendar as possible.

I would recommend that you utilize the study planner if you aren't already. Yes, I would follow the Essential content. There may be some 2011 content in there currently, as once we publish 2012 we then change 2011 from essential to optional.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Hend,

I just want to make sure that the site does log you in when you log in, correct? The issue is that it doesn't keep you logged in, right?

I will report this issue to our developers and see if there is a resolution. If this is the case, I will need some additional information from you (browser, version, etc.).

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Hend,

We've renamed the Hull Chapter 22 & 23 document to read: T6. Hull’s Credit Risk & Credit Derivatives

You can locate this document here (note the hard document will still show chapters 22 and 23 as that matched in 2010).

Thanks,
Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne!

@Shekkery: Just to add to Suzzane's reply:
  1. Until we get through the calendar (see Suzanne's link), there WILL be 2011 videos; only as we publish 2012 will we DISPLACE the 2011 videos. Similarly with practice questions: they are not shown with years (2011, 2010) because they update on a rolling basis. The Study Planner shows our latest and most relevant regardless.
  2. I assume you realize the T1-T4 is totally GARP's FRM, that will not vary by training provider. We all have the same AIMs of course.

Yes Suzanne, you concluded right. I can log in, but it doesn't keep me logged, and browser can't auto fill my password when I re-enter.

And sure, I'd be glad to help.

Thanks

Hi Hend,

I've chatted with our developers and this is an open bug in EE. As soon as EE issues an update with a resolution, we will work to fix this bug.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne (I am recording): Could I ask you to make sure Shawn has a EE forum post, or we do, posted at the EE technical forum: http://expressionengine.com/forums/ ... It's sort of (IMO) an irritating, (if not intolerable, if not unacceptable) bug for a world-class CMS, and I would hope we are making noise on their (EllisLab's) forum about it ...
.... EE 2 has a lot of bugs, so squeaky wheel gets the oil over there, is my sense
